About Grnmrk
Grnmrk (grnmrk.com) is a cloud partner program advisory firm helping companies navigate cloud partner programs, co-sell strategy, funding programs like MAP, and AWS Marketplace. We serve a focused, high-value audience: alliances leaders, partner teams, ISVs, and consulting partners building with AWS. We're founder-led and lean, with a growing library of content (service pages, funding guides, blog posts, and gated resources) that needs a consistent distribution engine behind it.
What We're Looking to Accomplish
This role exists to turn Grnmrk's expertise into pipeline. Over the first 6–12 months, success looks like:
- A newsletter that grows from launch into a recognized weekly read for the AWS alliances/partner community, with steady subscriber growth and healthy engagement
- A LinkedIn presence that builds authority in the cloud partner ecosystem and drives consistent traffic to grnmrk.com
- A repeatable content-to-conversation motion: content attracts the right audience, gated resources capture leads, and outbound converts engagement into discovery calls
- Ultimately: qualified conversations that turn into advisory engagements and subscription revenue, which is exactly what you get paid on
The Role
You'll own Grnmrk's recurring marketing rhythm end to end: planning, producing, publishing, and measuring. This is a hands-on execution role with real leverage. AI tools (including Claude) are provided and encouraged for drafting, repurposing, research, and automation. The value you bring is judgment, consistency, editorial quality, and a feel for the B2B cloud/alliances audience, not grinding out copy from scratch.
You'll work directly with the founder, with a short weekly sync to align on priorities and full autonomy in between.
Responsibilities
Newsletter (weekly, via Beehiiv)
- Own the editorial calendar: plan themes, recurring segments, and a publishing cadence that sticks
- Draft, edit, and publish a weekly newsletter using Beehiiv
- Repurpose existing Grnmrk assets (funding guides, blog posts, service pages) and curate relevant cloud partner ecosystem news into newsletter-ready material
- Manage subscriber growth: signup placement, gated-resource capture, cross-promotion from LinkedIn
- Track opens, clicks, and subscriber growth; iterate on subject lines, format, and content mix
- Set up and refine Beehiiv automations (welcome sequences, tagging, segmentation) as the list grows
LinkedIn (2–4 posts per week)
- Write and schedule 2–4 posts per week for the Grnmrk company page
- Adapt newsletter and site content into LinkedIn-native formats: text posts, carousels, short takes on cloud partner program news
- Develop a recognizable voice and point of view for Grnmrk in the alliances/partner community
- Engage with relevant conversations, hashtags, and communities to expand reach beyond followers
- Monitor post performance and double down on what resonates
Content Support & Repurposing
- Turn one core asset (e.g., a funding guide) into many: newsletter issues, LinkedIn series, lead magnets
- Suggest and draft new blog posts or gated resources when gaps appear in the content library
- Keep messaging consistent with Grnmrk's positioning across every channel
Reporting
- Share a brief weekly snapshot of channel performance (subscribers, engagement, traffic, leads)
- Flag what's working, what isn't, and what you'd change
Bonus: Prospecting (Apollo.io)
- Build and maintain target lists in Apollo.io: ISVs, consulting partners, alliances and partner leaders
- Run light, well-crafted outbound sequences tied to content (e.g., sharing the MAP funding guide with companies actively pursuing AWS migrations)
- Warm up engaged newsletter subscribers and LinkedIn followers into discovery-call conversations
- Keep list hygiene and sequencing organized so outreach stays targeted, not spammy
What We're Looking For
- Strong B2B writing instincts: you can match a credible, professional voice and make technical partner-program topics readable
- Fluency with AI tools as a force multiplier: you prompt well, edit ruthlessly, and quality-check everything before it ships
- Self-directed and dependable on a weekly cadence with minimal oversight
- Working knowledge of Beehiiv, LinkedIn company pages, and Apollo.io, or the ability to ramp fast
- Comfort reading performance data and adjusting based on what it says
- Bonus: exposure to the AWS ecosystem, cloud alliances, partner programs, or B2B SaaS
Tools Provided
- Beehiiv (newsletter platform)
- Apollo.io (prospecting and outreach)
- Claude and related AI tooling for drafting, repurposing, and research
- Access to Grnmrk's full content library and brand assets
Compensation
This is a commission-based independent contractor engagement:
- Uncapped commission at a variable rate on marketing-sourced deals, spanning both one-time advisory engagements and recurring subscription revenue
- Recurring-revenue commissions are paid monthly for as long as the subscription remains active
- Commission rates, deal attribution criteria, and payment terms are defined in the contractor agreement and reviewed together before you start
What that means in practice:
- Uncapped upside: there's no ceiling; more pipeline means more pay
- Recurring income potential: subscription commissions compound as the subscriber base grows
- Real ownership: you're building an engine you directly profit from, not executing someone else's checklist
- Leverage: AI tooling and an existing content library mean your hours go further than a typical from-scratch marketing role
There is no fixed retainer, salary, or hourly component. This role fits someone who wants equity-like upside in a focused niche and is confident their marketing drives revenue.
Engagement Terms
- Independent contractor agreement with a mutual 30-day termination clause
- Initial 90-day period with a joint review of performance, fit, and commission structure
- You retain flexibility to work with other clients, provided there's no direct conflict of interest
